W1S1: Weeks 5 and 6

The weeks are blurring together now, but I’m keeping up!

Week 5 – wrote two flash pieces, and subbed four twitter fictions – two were accepted by trapeze for publication in May!

Week 6 – wrote two microfictions and subbed them to the String-of-10 contest.

Also working on poems for a poetry class, and finishing up the Nano novel.

Testing Scrivener and YA

This year, I’m trying something new for noveling month – a young adult novel, written on the beta version of Scrivener for Windows.  So far so good!  Though my word count lags here on Day 11, Scrivener makes my plot easier to organize, so I can see where I’m going and plan out word sprints to catch up.  No more fear of losing all my sticky notes to the kids’ coloring schemes!  The novel is called “Appearances,” featuring  a sixteen-year old protagonist who discovers the fairy realm is real, and right in her grandma’s backyard.
